The Creators Series

The Creators Series by Bombay Shirt Company is an ongoing visual campaign that celebrates real people in their element - highlighting authenticity, individuality, and everyday craftsmanship over polished perfection. The goal was to connect the brand’s custom-made ethos with the personal journeys of creators who embody passion and purpose.

Concept & Launch
The series launched with a spotlight on Mumbai’s leading chefs and restaurateurs, capturing them in their own spaces - kitchens, restaurants, and markets - where they’re most comfortable and expressive. The focus was on storytelling through candid photography and relaxed styling, creating a warm, honest visual narrative.

My Role
As Art Director, I shaped the creative approach and oversaw execution across the campaign:

  • Creative Strategy: Defined the visual language for the series - organic, grounded, and human-centric.
  • Casting & Collaboration: Identified and collaborated with chefs who resonated with the brand’s values of craftsmanship and individuality.
  • On-Site Art Direction: Directed photographers on-location to capture natural, unstaged moments that brought out the subject’s personality and style.
  • Brand Integration: Ensured that the Bombay Shirt Company’s product remained integral to the visual story - effortlessly worn, yet never forced.
